Biography

Dr. Dodi Davenport serves as a Field Director of School Advancement at Instructional Empowerment. She works alongside Instructional Empowerment’s Leader and Faculty Coaches to ensure our partners districts and schools receive the coaching support and learning opportunities needed to successfully implement the IE Model of Instruction for Deeper Learning. Her depth of knowledge of core instructional best practices, expertise in utilizing teacher and leader evaluation models as a tool to improve instructional effectiveness, effective adult learning practices, and experiences as a professional coach to educators in many different roles have proven to be of great impact to the districts and schools she has served. 

Dr. Davenport’s 34 years in education include experience as a teacher, assistant principal, principal, and in district-level leadership. In each of her roles, she was always active in ensuring teachers and leaders benefited from access to high-quality professional learning experiences and coaching to strengthen their instructional practice. 

Dr. Davenport holds a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Florida State University, a Master of Education in Educational Leadership, and a Doctorate in Educational Program Development, both from the University of South Florida.
